Background: Cataract extraction affect some a di anterior chamber (AC) parameters like AC depth (ACD) an di width a di AC angle. Different techniques dem use fi evaluate dem effects yah before an afta cataract extraction.
Purpose: Fi evaluate di results a Anterior Segment Optical Coherence Tomography (AS-OCT), Ultrasound Biomicroscopy (UBM) & Pentacam fi evaluate di changes a di anterior segment parameters afta cataract extraction.
Methods: Prospective non-randomized study including 40 cataractous eyes. AS-OCT, UBM an Pentacam did done 1 week before, 1 week an 1 month afta phacoemulsification wid intraocular lens (IOL) implantation, fi measure ACD, AC angle width, an central corneal thickness (CCT).
Results: ACD depth, AC angle width an CCT increase significantly 1 week an 1 month afta surgery dan di preoperative level (p<0.001), wid no significant difference between 1 week an 1 month afta surgery (p>0.05). No significant difference between di 3 techniques inna most measures either pre- or postoperatively.
Conclusion: ACD, AC angle width an CCT dem significantly increase afta uneventful phacoemulsification surgery an Foldable IOL implantation, weh dem become stabilized afta 1 month a surgery wid no significant difference inna di measures dem weh AS-OCT, UBM or Pentacam gi.
