Policy Reforms for Increased Transparency, Accountability and good Governance in Lebanon

Corruption is a broad concept that covers a wide range of practices and transactions. It is defined by Merriam- Webter as “inducement to wrong by improper or unlawful means (as bribery) “and by the oxford English dictionary as “perversion or destruction of integrity in the discharge of public duties by bribery or favor”. The USAID anti-corruption strategy defines corruption broadly as “the abuse of trusted authority for private gain”.
